Kariba Minerals Launches Solar Power Plant
On 4th June 2024, Kariba Minerals officially commissioned the 200KWH solar plant, in conjunction with Puma Energy Zambia. The solar project initiative represents not only a significant step forward for our company to source affordable power for our operations but also a crucial milestone in our effort to meet our environmental sustainability goal of sustainable and environmentally responsible mining.
The event was attended by the guest of Honour, Southern Province Minister Honorable, Credo Nanjuwa who was represented by the Deputy Permanent Secretary Mrs Yolanta Mutyambe Malunga. The event also included community leaders such as, Area MP, the District Commissioner Zimba District, Chief representative, board and senior members from both ZCCM-IH and Kariba Minerals, Puma Energy Zambia plc and MBHE African power Zambia senior management etc.
